The twin-silencer layout, hotdog up front and muffler at the rear, is the defining choice: a more controlled, drone-free note than a centre-delete system.
What does the centre hotdog plus rear muffler give you?
This system pairs a centre hotdog resonator with a rear muffler, so it silences in two stages. The hotdog cuts drone in the middle while staying free-flowing, and the rear muffler does the main quietening at the back. That combination keeps the 1.5L's voice present but well-mannered, less raw than a no-centre-muffler layout, with the resonant boom taken out for long highway runs.
