What does this headers package cover?
The PP5361-20 combines 1 3/4in tuned-length extractors with a 2 1/2in system for the HSV VZ 6.0L V8. The primaries are 1 3/4in and the pipework behind them runs at 2 1/2in. This is the rear-pipe-only variant, supplied without a rear muffler — the run finishes on pipe. We publish no power, flow or sound figures and won't quote any.
What are tuned-length headers and what do they change?
Tuned-length headers replace the cast factory manifolds with separate primary tubes cut to a deliberate length before they merge into a collector. The length is chosen to order the exhaust pulses leaving each cylinder rather than just venting them through one casting. On the VZ 6.0L V8 the aim is a cleaner path off the heads, carried through the 2 1/2in system, with a fuller note as a by-product — and with no muffler at the rear, that note carries through to the tail.
