The Redback RBH327 is a set of extractors listed to fit the Holden Commodore VE and VF V8, with 1-7/8in primaries. Extractors replace the cast factory manifolds with tubular runners at the front of the system.
What are extractors and what do they change?
Extractors, also called headers, swap the cast manifolds for tubular runners that gather exhaust from each cylinder more evenly. The 1-7/8in figure is the primary tube size at the cylinder head. On a V8 Commodore this is the part of the exhaust where the gas first comes together, so it's a common first step in a fuller build.
