The Redback RBH828 is a set of headers listed to fit the Nissan Patrol Y62 V8 across series 1 through 5. Headers replace the cast factory manifolds with tubular runners to free up the path out of the cylinder heads.
What are headers and what do they change?
Headers, or extractors, swap the heavy cast exhaust manifolds for tubular runners that gather gas from each cylinder more evenly. On a big petrol V8 like the Patrol Y62's, they're a common starting point in an exhaust build because they sit right at the heads where the system begins. They change how the front of the exhaust flows; the rest of the system behind them is unaffected unless it's changed too. We publish no flow, power or sound figures and won't quote any.
