European ute, same problem to solve: the Safari SS1400HF is a snorkel listed to fit the Volkswagen Amarok from 2012. It moves the engine's air intake up to roof height, the standard first modification for an Amarok headed off the bitumen.
The Amarok was Volkswagen's dual-cab ute, and like any 4x4 it draws its factory air from low in the engine bay. The SS1400HF relocates that pickup to the A-pillar, so the air filter feeds on cleaner air on dusty trails and the engine has a higher point before water can be ingested during a crossing. The body is moulded to the Amarok's guard and pillar line.
It's listed to fit the Volkswagen Amarok from 2012. That covers the long first-generation run of this ute, and the snorkel body is shaped to that body's panel work. Confirm your exact build year and body with the workshop before ordering, since the later VW-platform Amarok is a different vehicle with different fitment.
Owners fit a snorkel for cleaner air to the filter on long dirt drives and to lift where water can be drawn in. We don't quote a wading depth or any flow figure because none is published; the honest description is a higher, cleaner intake. It pairs with sealing the rest of the intake tract on the vehicle.
Oak Flats Muffler Men fits Safari snorkels in-house across the Illawarra. It's a careful cut-and-seal on the guard with the body mounted to the pillar. The RRP is $582; bring the Amarok in and we'll confirm the body match for your build before any cutting.
