Built for the factory off-roader, the Safari SS986HP is an Armax high-flow snorkel listed to fit the Ford Ranger Raptor 2.0L Biturbo from 09/2018. It relocates the Raptor's air pickup to roof height behind Safari's larger styled intake head.
Even a purpose-built Raptor draws its factory air from low in the guard, where dust and water reach it on the terrain it's made for. The snorkel lifts that pickup up the A-pillar to roof height, keeping grit and water spray off the filter on tracks and crossings. It's an intake change, not a power part — no airflow or power figures are published, so none are quoted.
Armax is Safari's broader-mouthed, high-flow intake head — the moulded scoop that caps the snorkel body. On the 2.0L Biturbo Raptor it sits on a snorkel that does the fundamental job of elevating and sealing the intake, so the engine breathes cleaner air than the factory low-mounted inlet allows.
It's listed to fit the Ford Ranger Raptor 2.0L Biturbo from September 2018. The Raptor saw updates across its run, so confirm your exact build and any bar work with the workshop before ordering. Listed fitment is a guide, not a guarantee.
Oak Flats Muffler Men fits Safari snorkels in-house. The job involves cutting and sealing the guard entry, mounting the body to the pillar, and plumbing the tract into the airbox so the filter sees clean, sealed air. Send your Raptor details and we'll confirm clearances and book the bay. The SS986HP lists at $748 RRP.
