Fairlane NC V8 Sedan 2 1/2in C/Muffler (SSMBM230MF) fits selected vehicle applications. Fast.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

Built in stainless, the MPI Automotive SSMBM230MF is a 2in muffler listed to fit the Fairlane NC V8 sedan — a replacement silencer for the rear of the system, with the corrosion life that stainless brings to an older car.
The SS prefix marks this as the stainless version. On a car of the Fairlane NC's era, the original mild-steel muffler is the part most likely to have rusted through first. A stainless replacement resists the internal condensation and corrosion that kills mild-steel silencers, so it is the longer-life choice — worth it when you are not keen to be back under the car in a few years.
This is a chambered muffler — it quietens by absorbing and reflecting sound inside the body. Built for a 2in pipe, it is sized to suit the standard run on a V8 sedan of this type rather than a big-bore performance system. It replaces the rear silencer, not the whole exhaust.
It is listed to fit the Fairlane NC V8 sedan. Treat that as a starting point — older cars are often a mix of original and replacement pipework — and confirm the inlet and outlet against your current system. Bring the car or the old muffler and we will match it.
