The MPI Automotive SSMBM810MF is a 3in centre muffler for the GWM Cannon Alpha ute (2.0L turbo petrol hybrid, 2025-on), in the full-size body. The standard-size body is the point of difference — it's the centre-section muffler with the larger can for more quietening in the middle of the system.
What does the centre muffler do here?
This is the mid-system muffler in 3in, in the standard full body. Sitting in the centre of the exhaust, a chambered/absorptive muffler softens the note before it reaches the rear, taking the edge off resonance in the middle of the run. The full-size body holds more internal volume than a compact one, so it leans toward more quietening in the centre stage. It's the centre component on the Cannon Alpha, pairing with whatever rear section the ute is running rather than being a complete system on its own.
