The MPI Automotive SSMKGW0002 is a 3in DPF-back listed to fit the GWM Cannon Ute 2.0L turbo-diesel (2020–2025), run without a muffler. It starts behind the diesel particulate filter, so it opens the rear of the system without touching the DPF.
What does a DPF-back replace?
A DPF-back swaps the exhaust from the diesel particulate filter rearward and leaves the DPF and upstream hardware factory. On the GWM Cannon's 2.0L, the SSMKGW0002 steps the rear section out to 3in and runs it through to the tailpipe, opening flow where it's easiest to do so cleanly. It's the least invasive way to free up the exhaust because it doesn't disturb the emissions filter at the front of the system.
Why no muffler?
This build is supplied without a muffler, so the post-DPF section flows straight through. The DPF already does much of the acoustic work on this engine, so the result is a firmer note rather than a raw, open system — a sensible balance on a daily-driven ute that still has to behave on the highway.
Does it fit my Cannon 2.0L?
It's listed to fit the GWM Cannon Ute 2.0L turbo-diesel from 2020 to 2025. The supplier record lists the engine and years but not a separate model code, so confirm your exact variant with the workshop before ordering. RRP is $1,756.01.
