The MPI Automotive SSMKHN0418 takes the dual 3in WH Statesman layout and runs it quieter — twin 3in pipes the length of the long-wheelbase car, but with muffler-to-muffler silencing rather than a hotdog. Its 1¾in primaries keep the street-engine character on the Holden WH Statesman V8.
Why twin mufflers on a dual 3in Statesman?
This system keeps each cylinder bank on its own 3in pipe but finishes with two muffler stages instead of a hotdog resonator and a single muffler. The second muffler stage takes the note further down, making this the more reserved of the dual 3in WH Statesman builds. We publish no sound figure and won't quote one — but the twin-muffler choice is the quieter long-wheelbase setup.
What does the dual 3in routing give the Statesman?
