What does the DS-fit, chrome-tip version give you?
The SSMKRA0014 is the DS-generation 1500 package with the 5in chrome-tip finish. The pipework is routed for the DS underbody, and the chrome tips give a polished exit at the rear rather than a darkened one. Ahead of the tips it's the full 3in twin system for the 5.7L V8 — the complete head-back change for that body.
What does the system replace?
Across a 3in twin layout — a bank each side for the V8 — this package carries extractors off the heads, catalytic converters and rear mufflers. The extractors swap out the factory cast manifolds for tube-and-merge runners, and the cats and mufflers complete the run. The cats are part of the kit, so the emissions hardware isn't being deleted here.
