Why the DT body code matters
The 1500 RAM came in different bodies, and the SSMKRA0016 is the one cut for the DT-generation 1500 — the routing and clearances are matched to that platform rather than the earlier DS. Getting the body code right is the whole point with a full twin system, because the pipework has to follow the underbody of that specific generation. This is the DT-fit package.
What's in the package?
It's a complete head-back system for the 5.7L V8: extractors off each bank, catalytic converters and rear mufflers, run as a 3in twin layout with a bank each side. The cats are included, so the emissions hardware is part of the kit. The rear exits through 5in chrome tips — the polished finish on this version.
Does it keep the emissions hardware?
Yes — the SSMKRA0016 includes the catalytic converters, so this isn't a cat-delete. The factory emissions hardware stays in the system.
