This is the front muffler — not the rear — for the 100 Series Toyota LandCruiser, FZJ105/HZJ105, 4.2L and 4.5L (TOYOTA-LANDCRUISER-100-SERIES-FZJ105-HZJ105-4-2L-4-5L-98-10-07-2-1-2-EVERFLO-FRO). It's a 2in Everflo unit that sits forward in the system to take the first bite out of the note.
On a long-wheelbase 4x4 like the 100 Series the exhaust often carries a muffler well forward as well as one at the rear. This front Everflo muffler does the first stage of quietening, smoothing the note before it reaches the back of the truck. As an Everflo it's an absorptive/chambered design at 2in, replacing a tired or rusted original in that forward position.
It's listed to fit the 100 Series LandCruiser in FZJ105 and HZJ105 form — the 4.2L and 4.5L versions — from 1998 to October 2007. The 105 chassis code is a specific live-axle 100 Series variant, so confirm your exact model code and year with the workshop before ordering.
