Redback Extreme Duty 3" Muffler.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

Sized at a 3in bore, the Redback XM80381 is an Extreme Duty muffler for the driver's-side line of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The big 3in bore and the side-specific fitment are what mark this one out — it's built for one bank of the Silverado's exhaust.
A 3in muffler is matched to a larger or modified exhaust — exactly the kind of bore a full-size truck like the Silverado 1500 runs. It's a chambered muffler, so it quietens by reflection and absorption rather than running wide open, giving a fuller note without going straight-through. The 3in figure is the one published dimension on this part.
This muffler is listed specifically for the driver's-side run of the Silverado's system. On a truck that uses separate left and right silencers, matching the correct side matters for inlet/outlet orientation and clearance. Confirm which side you need — and your exact Silverado 1500 — with the workshop before ordering.
As a single Extreme Duty muffler it replaces the existing driver's-side silencer in the Silverado's exhaust. It doesn't touch any catalytic converter or the opposite bank, so it changes that one section only — handy when a side has rusted or blown and you want a correctly-sized, heavier-duty replacement.
Oak Flats Muffler Men supplies and fits the XM80381 in-house across the Illawarra. We confirm the driver's-side orientation, check the inlet and outlet against your Silverado's pipework, and fit it with correct hanger support. Tell us your truck and we'll confirm the side and book it in.
