Manta's ceramic coated 1 7/8 inch extractors and high flow cats for the 2015 on Mustang GT: what changes at the source, the labour reality, and why this is the stage to do properly.
Topics

Extractors are the unglamorous end of exhaust work: hidden, hot, and harder to fit than anything behind them. They are also where a Coyote V8 picks up its character. Manta's SSMKFD0334 pairs 1 7/8 inch ceramic coated extractors with high flow cats for the 2015 on Mustang GT, built to bolt straight to the factory exhaust system.
What you are looking at
This kit covers the FM, FN and FO Mustang GT, which in plain terms means every 5.0 litre V8 from 2015 through the current car. Primaries are 1 7/8 inch feeding a 3 inch outlet. Both the extractors and the cats wear HPC ceramic coating to keep under bonnet temperatures down. The high flow cats also keep emissions hardware on the car rather than in the bin. Manta has built extractors in Australia since 1974, and this is its coated version. The uncoated kit (SSMKFD0329) saves about $740 if the coating is not a priority for you.
How it behaves on the road
Extractors change a Coyote's sound at the source. The note gains a harder edge, and the engine breathes more freely at the top of the tacho once the restrictive factory manifolds are gone. Because this kit feeds your existing cat back, overall volume stays close to what the rear system already allows. That makes it a tidy move for a car already wearing a good muffler setup. The honest cost is labour. Header access in these engine bays is tight, and this is a long day on the hoist, not a bolt on afternoon. Budget for fitting the way you budget for the part. Plan a dyno tune afterwards too, so the engine is calibrated for the freer front end rather than merely tolerating it.
Fitment and price reality
$3,857.63 RRP for the coated kit, plus proper fitting time and a tune, puts the on road cost north of most full cat backs. That is the nature of header work, and it buys the one exhaust change no rear section can replicate.
The workshop call
If you are building the Mustang in stages, do this stage properly or not at all. Ring the workshop first. We will confirm the part number against your model year and talk through coated versus uncoated honestly. Then we will give you one fitted price covering the kit, gaskets and the hours it actually takes.

Book the right exhaust job without guessing.
Send the vehicle make, model, year, engine, current issue and the result you want so the workshop can scope the right repair, system or fabrication slot.
