Why does the Captiva feel soft off idle?
From 2006 the Holden Captiva runs a drive-by-wire accelerator: the pedal is an electronic sensor, and the factory maps it gently so the SUV pulls away smoothly and predictably. The EVC537 sits between the pedal sensor and the ECU and reshapes that signal, so a given pedal position asks for throttle earlier than the standard map allows.
