This Exhaust Systems Australia mandrel-bent Tri-Y header set is listed to fit the Ford Falcon XR to XF and Fairlane ZF, ZK with the 302 and 351 4V Cleveland V8. It replaces the factory manifolds at the engine on these classic Ford V8s, matched to the four-barrel Cleveland head.
What is a Tri-Y header and where does it sit?
A Tri-Y header joins cylinders in two-into-one pairs before merging again, a layout chosen to separate exhaust pulses on a V8. It replaces the cast manifolds with tubular runners that bolt to the heads at the hottest part of the engine bay. Mandrel bending keeps the tube bore consistent through each bend rather than crimping it. It changes the front of the exhaust at the engine, not the system behind it.
Why the 4V Cleveland reference?
Header flanges are cut to a specific port pattern, and the 4V (four-barrel) Cleveland head differs from the 2V version, so this set is listed specifically for the 302 and 351 4V Cleveland used in the XR-XF Falcon and ZF, ZK Fairlane.
