The MPI Automotive FX-789MS is a mild-steel extractor set listed to fit the Jeep Wrangler and Renegade up to 2004. It replaces the factory exhaust manifold at the cylinder head.
What's a mild-steel extractor?
An extractor, or header, swaps the cast factory manifold for tuned-length tubes that merge downstream to reduce back-pressure off the head. The FX-789MS is built from mild steel, the more economical option for a header — it does the same job as the stainless version but trades long-term corrosion resistance for a lower price.
