The MPI Automotive MBM362MF is a 2.5in rear muffler for the six-cylinder Ford Falcon ute (BA/BF/FG, including XR6). As the rear unit it is the last silencer in the system, so it is the part that sets how the ute sounds at the tailpipe.
What does the rear muffler set on the Falcon ute?
The rear muffler is the final silencing stage, mounted at the back of the tray where it shapes the tailpipe note and trims the last of the resonance. On the BA-to-FG six-cylinder ute the MBM362MF renews that rear section, so it is the body to swap when the original has rusted or started blowing, or when you want to tidy the note behind the cab.
