Hilux KZN165R 3.0L TD 3in Centre W/out Mufflers (MBM440WOM) fits selected vehicle applications.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The MPI Automotive MBM440WOM is a 3in centre section that deletes the muffler — a without-mufflers centre pipe for the Toyota Hilux KZN165R 3.0L turbo-diesel. Rather than a silencing box, it runs straight 3in pipe through the middle of the system, trading some quietening for freer flow and a louder note.
This replaces the centre muffler with open 3in pipe, so the absorptive box that normally soaks up mid-frequency sound is gone. The result is less restriction through the midsection and a harder, fuller note carrying to the rear of the Hilux. At 3in it keeps a wide bore through the centre, suiting a diesel system opened up from stock — it's a flow-and-sound change to the middle of the system, leaning louder than the factory box.
It suits owners of the KZN165R 3.0L turbo-diesel Hilux who want more presence and freer flow from the centre of the system without replacing the whole exhaust. Because it removes silencing material, expect more volume than the standard centre muffler — worth weighing on a daily-driven ute.
