A straight 3in connecting pipe in place of a centre silencer: the MPI Automotive MBM668WOM is the centre without-muffler section for the Next-Gen T6.2 Ford Everest V6 diesel. With no chamber in the middle of the system, it's the delete that lets the centre run open.
What does the centre delete give the Everest?
The MBM668WOM runs a straight 3in pipe through the centre instead of a muffler, so there is no chamber to absorb sound mid-system. On the Everest's V6 diesel that frees the note and lifts volume compared with a centre muffler in the same position. It is a connecting section, not a rear silencer, so it changes the middle of the system while leaving the tail to whatever rear muffler the car carries.
Why run a delete rather than a centre muffler?
Deleting the centre muffler keeps that part of the run open at the 3in bore rather than passing gas through a silencing chamber. The trade-off is the same as any delete: more noise and the potential for drone, untouched by a straight pipe. MPI Automotive lists this as the centre section only — rear silencing is a separate part, so the overall character depends on what sits behind it.
