Ford Falcon AU V8 Ute 2.5in Dual Catback Muffler/Muffler.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

Twin chambered mufflers on a dual 2.5in cat-back make the MPI Automotive MKFD0082 the subdued option for the AU Falcon V8 ute — the earlier body, with absorption at both stages. It's listed to fit the Ford Falcon AU V8.
A chambered muffler absorbs and reflects sound broadly rather than tuning one frequency. Running a muffler at both stages of the dual 2.5in run gives the AU V8 ute a fuller, more controlled note — the calmest of the dual cat-back layouts for this earlier body, with freer flow than the factory system but the volume kept civil.
This kit is listed for the AU-series Falcon V8 ute, so the dual routing and exit are shaped for that body and its hanger points under the tray and chassis. Cat-back means it replaces the pipework from the catalytic converter rearward; the emissions hardware ahead of the cat is left as Ford fitted it.
Because it's a cat-back, the catalytic converter and the emissions equipment in front of it remain in place — not a cat delete. Confirm any state requirements with the workshop before fitting.
