Why a hotdog on the XR6 cat-back?
The MKFD0092 uses a hotdog rather than a chambered muffler: a slim, perforated, straight-through resonator that tunes out drone while leaving the gas path open. On the BA/BF XR6 sedan that keeps the rear section breathing and the inline six's note firmer than a muffler build, which suits the XR6 character. It targets resonance rather than smothering volume.
