Why a hotdog on the dual cat-back?
The MKFD0105 uses a hotdog rather than a chambered muffler: a slim, perforated, straight-through resonator that tunes out drone while leaving the gas path open. On the BA/BF V8 sedan that keeps the dual system breathing and the note firmer than a muffler build, which suits owners wanting the V8 less restrained at the back.
