Ford BA BF V8 Ute 2.5in Dual CatBack Muffler/Tailpipe.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The MPI Automotive MKFD0148 finishes its dual 2.5in cat-back with a muffler and a tailpipe section rather than a second muffling stage — a straighter rear exit for the BA/BF V8 ute. It's listed to fit the Ford BA/BF V8.
Instead of a second muffler, the MKFD0148 runs a tailpipe section behind its muffler, so the rear of the system is a straight pipe to the exit rather than more chambering. That tends to give a freer, more open note than a twin-muffler layout — the muffler still does the main absorption, with nothing further quietening the gas after it.
Dual splits the run into two 2.5in pipes, sized for the standard Falcon V8. Cat-back means it replaces the pipework from the catalytic converter rearward; the emissions hardware ahead of the cat stays exactly as Ford fitted it. It's a rear-section change for the ute, not an engine-out job.
Because it's a cat-back, the factory catalytic converter and the emissions equipment in front of it remain in place — this is not a cat delete. Confirm any state requirements with the workshop before fitting.
