The MPI Automotive MKFD0158 splits left and right down a 2.5in cat-back, pairing a muffler with a hotdog resonator for the BA/BF V8 ute. The L-and-R layout runs a pipe each side of the tray. It's listed to fit the Ford BA/BF V8.
What does the L-and-R layout do?
L-and-R means a separate pipe runs down each side, exiting left and right rather than through a single rear path — a twin-exit routing the workshop sets up under the ute tray. Combined with a muffler on one stage and a hotdog resonator on the other, the MKFD0158 mixes broad absorption with single-frequency tuning across its 2.5in cat-back.
Muffler plus hotdog — what's the character?
The muffler quietens across the range while the hotdog targets the resonance that shows up as cruise drone. Together they give the V8 a present but controlled note — not the loudest layout, not the quietest. At 2.5in it's sized for the standard Falcon eight.

It's listed for the BA/BF V8 ute, so the left-and-right routing is shaped around the tray and chassis. As a cat-back it replaces the pipework from the catalytic converter rearward and leaves the factory emissions hardware in front in place.
