What does keeping both the cat and muffler mean?
This is the least aggressive build in the family. Retaining the catalytic converter leaves the Ranger's emissions hardware in place, and a full chambered muffler keeps the note controlled. So the MKFD0253T-B gives you the bigger 3in turbo-back breathing without the loudness of the hotdog or no-muffler versions — the everyday-driver choice in the range.
Where does a turbo-back sit?
It replaces the exhaust from the turbo outlet rearward — the whole diesel run rather than a tailpipe-only swap. At 3in it is matched to the engine and ends in a twin black-tip side exit. This is the value, non-stainless version of the with-cat, with-muffler layout.
Is it road legal?
This build keeps the catalytic converter, so the emissions component the Ranger came with stays fitted — the key factor for diesel-ute compliance — and the full muffler keeps volume sensible.
