Ford PX2 & PX3 Ranger 3in Turbo Back With Cat & Without Muffler, Twin Tip Side Exit (MKFD0273T) Fits FORD.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The MPI Automotive MKFD0273T is the side-exit twin-tip turbo-back for the PX2 and PX3 Ford Ranger: a 3in turbo-back that keeps the catalytic converter, deletes the muffler, and exits through a twin tip out the side. Side-exit routing sets this apart within the PX2/PX3 turbo-back family.
This MKFD0273T routes the exhaust out the side of the Ranger into a twin tip rather than out the rear. Side exits clear tow bars and rear bar work and put the twin-tip look ahead of the rear wheel — a routing and appearance choice layered on the 3in with-cat, no-muffler core.
A turbo-back changes the exhaust from the turbo outlet back. This one retains the factory catalytic converter but deletes the muffler, so the 3in pipe flows freely and runs a harder note while keeping the cat the Ranger left the factory with. It's the louder, cat-retaining option of the PX2/PX3 turbo-backs.
Because the MKFD0273T keeps the catalytic converter, the cat road compliance hinges on stays in place. It deletes the muffler and runs a side exit, so confirm the exact build and any NSW noise and exit-position requirements with the workshop before fitting.
