The MPI Automotive MKFD0274T is a 3in turbo-back listed to fit the PX2 and PX3 Ford Ranger, finished with a twin-tip side exit and run without the catalytic converter and without a muffler. It is the most open configuration in the family — cat-delete, muffler-delete, side exit.
Why the twin-tip side exit and stripped-back layout?
The side-exit twin-tip is the standout feature: the tailpipes turn out ahead of the rear wheel rather than finishing under the bar. With no muffler in the run, the 3in turbo-back is about as open as the format gets — a hard, undamped note off the PX2/PX3 Ranger’s exhaust, paired with a side-exit look.
What does a turbo-back without cat involve?
A turbo-back replaces the exhaust from the turbo outlet rearward at 3in. This build deletes the catalytic converter and skips the muffler, so it is the off-road specification rather than a street-legal upgrade. Because this build deletes the catalytic converter on a road-relevant system, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is intended for off-road or competition use only.
