Why the 4in bore matters here
The 4in diameter is the defining attribute of the MKFD0302. On a diesel V6 like the Everest’s, a larger pipe carries the exhaust volume away from the DPF outlet with less back-pressure than the factory tubing. It is a deliberate size step rather than a tailpipe cosmetic change, and it sets this part apart from the smaller-bore Ranger and four-cylinder systems in the range.
What does a dpf-back cover, and what changes without the centre muffler?
A dpf-back replaces everything from the diesel particulate filter outlet rearward, leaving the DPF and the emissions hardware ahead of it untouched. Deleting the centre muffler removes one of the silencing chambers in the middle of the run, so the note opens up compared with the muffled layout while the system still finishes through its rear section.

- Yes. It is a dpf-back, so it replaces the pipework from the DPF outlet back and leaves the DPF and the emissions hardware in front of it in place.
- What does deleting the centre muffler do?
- It removes one of the mid-system silencing chambers, so the exhaust note opens up relative to the muffled version. The rear section still does the final quietening.
