The MKFD0319 is a 3in full extractor-back system listed to fit the Ford Mustang FN 5.0L V8 from 2018. It runs ceramic-coated extractors, a centre hotdog, a valved bi-modal muffler and a 4in quad tip.
What are extractors and what do they change?
Extractors, or headers, replace the cast factory manifolds with tubular runners off each cylinder. The MKFD0319 uses ceramic-coated headers and feeds a 3in full system, so it works the exhaust from the manifolds all the way to the tip. The ceramic coating is a surface treatment on the headers; the system is a change to the exhaust side of the engine and works as a complete run.
What is in the system?
This is the most worked-out system in the range here: 3in pipework with a centre hotdog resonator, a bi-modal muffler that is valved so the path can switch between two states, and a 4in quad tip at the back. The valve and bi-modal muffler are why the layout can run two characters from one system. The 3in figure sets the core pipe size and the 4in quad tip is the visible finish.
