The MPI Automotive MKIZ0018 is a DPF-back style turbo-back system for the Isuzu MU-X 3.0L (2017–2025), built without a catalytic converter but finished through a rear muffler. It's the de-cat wagon option that still keeps a measure of silencing.
What does this turbo-back cover on the MU-X?
MKIZ0018 replaces the exhaust from the turbo outlet rearward on the DPF-equipped MU-X, the full span behind the engine. It deletes the catalytic converter for the freest flow but retains a rear muffler, so the note is more open than stock yet not as raw as a hotdog-only build. As a wagon system it routes for the MU-X's body rather than a ute tray.
Is it road legal in NSW?
No. Because it deletes the catalytic converter, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is for off-road use only. It's intended for off-road MU-X builds where emissions compliance isn't required. If you need a registered configuration, look to a with-cat option.
