The MPI Automotive MKIZ0025 is a turbo-back system listed to fit the 2020-on Isuzu D-Max 3.0L, built without the catalytic converter and without a muffler. It's the most stripped of the current-generation builds — and the cat-delete makes it off-road only.

Why is this off-road only?

Because the MKIZ0025 deletes the catalytic converter on a turbo-back system, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is intended for off-road use only. A turbo-back spans from the turbo outlet rearward, so it includes the emissions hardware — and removing the cat takes out equipment the 2020-on D-Max needs to be road-legal. There's no softening that, and we say it plainly.

What does no cat and no muffler give you?

With both the catalytic converter and the rear muffler removed, this turbo-back is the most open of the 2020-on 3.0L builds. The turbo-back length frees up the whole run from the turbo back, and with nothing absorbing the note the current-generation D-Max diesel comes through loud and raw. It's for a dedicated off-road build where flow and an unmuffled note are the point, not registration.
