The MPI Automotive MKIZ0033 is the straight-through, no-muffler cat-delete for the Isuzu D-Max 3.0L (June 2012 to January 2017) — it removes the catalytic converter and runs no muffler, the freest-flowing, hardest-edged build for this D-Max.
What does running no muffler change?
With the muffler deleted and a straight-through path, the MKIZ0033 leaves nothing in the line to absorb or reflect sound, so the D-Max 3.0L's note carries through plainly — a harder, less muted character than a hotdog or muffler build. There's no resonator quietening the note, which is exactly what some owners want and others won't.
