The MPI Automotive MKIZ0041 keeps the catalytic converter but runs no muffler or resonator behind it — the open-rear, cat-retained turbo-back for the Isuzu MU-X 3.0L (2017–2025). It is the build for owners who want the loudest rear section while leaving the factory emissions hardware in place.

Cat retained, rear left open

Two things define this SKU together. It keeps the factory catalytic converter, so the emissions hardware the MU-X left the factory with stays put — the usual focus on a modern diesel ute. And it runs no muffler or resonator in the rear, so the section behind the cat is the most open in the range: the freest-flowing and the hardest-sounding, with nothing there to subdue the note. Keeping the cat does not by itself make it compliant, so confirm any state requirements with the workshop before fitting.

What the open rear means day to day

With no silencing box at the back, the MKIZ0041 carries the rawest tone of the with-cat options and offers no drone control. It suits a driver chasing maximum noise and minimum restriction at the rear, accepting that there is no muffler to settle the note on the highway.
