Isuzu MU-X July 2021(MY21) - 2025 3.0L 3in DPF Back Without Muffler (MKIZ0043) Fits ISUZU. Fast.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

A muffler-free 3in DPF-back, the MPI Automotive MKIZ0043 opens the rear of the system for an unrestricted note. It's listed to fit the Isuzu MU-X 3.0L from July 2021 (MY21) through 2025, picking up behind the diesel particulate filter.
A DPF-back replaces the exhaust from behind the diesel particulate filter rearward, leaving the DPF and the emissions hardware upstream untouched. On the MU-X's 3.0L turbo-diesel the MKIZ0043 runs a 3in bore and deletes the rear muffler, so it opens the note without disturbing the particulate filter. It's the engine-end-light, free-flowing rear half of the system.
Running without a rear muffler keeps the 3in path as open as the DPF-back design allows, so the note is more vocal than a muffled section. For an MU-X owner who wants the diesel to breathe a little freer at the back, that's the appeal — a single, clean section behind the DPF.
As a DPF-back, the MKIZ0043 leaves the diesel particulate filter and upstream emissions equipment in place — it doesn't touch the DPF. Deleting the muffler changes the note, so confirm noise levels and any state requirements with the workshop before fitting.
