It is the most open of the layouts — a straight, unsilenced pipe from the turbo back.
What does a cat-and-muffler delete change?
With both the catalytic converter and the rear muffler removed, the MKMI0037 strips the turbo-back down to bare pipework. There is no chambered muffler to absorb sound and no cat substrate in the flow path, so the gas runs the full 3in span uninterrupted. The result is the loudest, least restricted of the Pajero Sport options — a harder, rawer note rather than the subdued tone a muffler delivers. That makes it a build choice for owners who want the most open setup and accept the trade-off in cabin noise.
Why does the 3in bore matter here?
Three inches is the larger end of the diesel turbo-back range and suits an engine that's been opened up elsewhere.
