The MPI Automotive MKTY0097 is a twin 3in system for the Toyota Landcruiser VDJ79 dual-cab that runs a hotdog resonator and deletes the catalytic converter. The cat-delete is the defining call here: this is the no-cat, off-road version of the twin 3in setup.
Is it road legal?
No — the MKTY0097 deletes the catalytic converter, so it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is intended for off-road use only. Removing the cat takes out emissions hardware the VDJ79 left the factory with, which is the hard line for road compliance on a diesel. We won't soften that: it's an off-road part.
What does the twin 3in hotdog layout do?
