Why a hotdog on this dpf-back?
A hotdog is a short straight-through resonator — gas passes through a perforated core wrapped in packing, taking the edge off the note without choking flow. On this 3in dpf-back for the VDJ76 it's the choice when you want the V8 turbo-diesel to breathe and stay present, rather than the quieter result a full chambered muffler gives.
