The MPI Automotive MKTY0175 is a 3in dual system for the Toyota Landcruiser VDJ200 that keeps a centre muffler and a rear muffler while deleting the cat, exiting through 4in. The twin mufflers make it the quieter end of the no-cat builds. Because it removes the catalytic converter from a road-relevant system, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is for off-road use only.
What does the twin-muffler, no-cat layout do?
This is a dual 3in run with both a centre muffler and a rear muffler, exiting through a 4in tailpipe, but with the cat deleted. The two mufflers keep the 200-Series note more subdued than a no-muffler delete, so it's the quieter option among the no-cat builds while still flowing through the bigger twin bore. We can't quote a sound level — the honest test is to hear one fitted.
Is it road legal?
No. Because the MKTY0175 deletes the catalytic converter on a road-relevant exhaust system, it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is for off-road use only. That's not something we soften: a cat-delete build like this is for off-road and closed-course use, not road registration in NSW.
