The MPI Automotive MKTY0308 keeps the catalytic converter and runs a centre muffler with a rear tailpipe, making it the road-minded 3in turbo-back for the Toyota Prado KDJ120/KDJ150 3.0L D4D. Retaining the cat keeps the factory emissions hardware in place.
What does this with-cat build include?
This 3in turbo-back replaces the system from the turbo outlet back, but unlike a delete build it retains the catalytic converter and finishes through a centre muffler and rear tailpipe. That layout keeps the emissions hardware the Prado left the factory with and uses the centre muffler to keep the D4D's note civil rather than loud.
Why keep the catalytic converter?
On a diesel turbo-back, retaining the cat is the difference between a system that leaves the factory emissions equipment in place and a delete that doesn't.
