Rather than a rear box, the MKTY0309 places its muffler in the centre of the run and finishes with a plain rear tail pipe. That centre-muffler position is the part's signature: it does the absorptive quietening partway along the 3in system, then lets the tail pipe carry the gas out the back cleanly.
