The MPI Automotive MKTY0326 runs a hotdog resonator in place of a full muffler, giving the Toyota Landcruiser HZJ105 (6-bolt Garrett) a leaner 3in turbo-back than a chambered-muffler build. The hotdog is a compact straight-through silencer, so it trims tone without choking flow.
Why a hotdog instead of a muffler?
A hotdog is a short straight-through resonator: gas passes through a perforated core wrapped in packing, so it shaves harshness and takes the edge off the note while staying free-flowing.
