Landcruiser VDJ79 V8 4.5L, Single Cab 2016-25, DPF Back, 4in Single Side Exit Without Muffler.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The MPI Automotive MKTY0387 is a 4in single side-exit DPF-back for the Toyota LandCruiser VDJ79 V8 4.5L Single Cab (2016 on), run without a muffler. As a DPF-back it leaves the diesel particulate filter untouched and opens up only the section behind it.
A DPF-back replaces the exhaust from the diesel particulate filter rearward, so the MKTY0387 leaves the DPF and upstream hardware factory. It's the cleanest way to free the VDJ79's 4.5L V8 exhaust — a 4in run exiting once out the side, without disturbing the emissions filter. For an owner who wants more flow but doesn't want to touch the DPF, it's the least invasive route.
This system finishes in a single side exit rather than a rear or dual layout, routing the 4in pipe out the side of the Single Cab. It's a tidy, practical exit for a working 79 Series that often runs a tray or canopy at the back, keeping the tailpipe clear.
With no muffler, the 4in section flows straight through to the side exit. The DPF does a lot of the acoustic work on this engine, so the result is a firmer note rather than the rawness of a cat-delete system.
It's listed to fit the VDJ79 V8 4.5L Single Cab from 2016; confirm your build first. RRP is $1,379.49. Oak Flats Muffler Men fits DPF-back systems on-site — a bolt-on behind the DPF — checking the flange seal, exit angle and hangers.
