No muffler, no resonator, no cat — the MPI Automotive MKTY0411 is the stripped-back 3in dual turbo-back for the Toyota LandCruiser GDJ79 Ute 2.8L (2023 on). It leads with flow: a straight-through path from the turbo to the tips, with nothing in the system to settle the note.
What is a no-muffler turbo-back?
This MKTY0411 layout deletes the muffler entirely, so 3in dual pipe carries gas straight from the turbo outlet to the tailpipes with nothing to baffle the sound. It's the least restrictive of the GDJ79 turbo-back builds and the loudest, suited to owners chasing minimal back-pressure who have already decided how the ute will be used away from the bitumen.
Is it road legal in NSW?
The MKTY0411 is a turbo-back without the catalytic converter. Deleting the cat removes emissions hardware the GDJ79 left the factory with, so it is not ADR 79/04 compliant for road registration in NSW and is supplied for off-road and competition use only.
