The Redback RBH034A is a set of headers listed to fit the Holden Commodore VN, VP, VR and VS with the 5.0-litre V8 and automatic. It replaces the factory cast manifolds on the V8, the front-of-system restriction point.
What's a header and what does it change?
A header, or extractor set, replaces the cast factory manifolds with tubular runners so each cylinder of the V8 gets a smoother exit. On the 5.0-litre Holden V8 the standard manifolds are the tightest part of the system, which is why extractors are a familiar upgrade on these cars. The header is the manifold portion only; the rest of the exhaust runs behind it.
