MPI Automotive Landcruiser VDJ76 4.5L V8 & GDJ76 2.8L, 5 Door Wagon 3in Rear Muffler.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

A 3in rear muffler, the MPI Automotive SSMBM302MF is listed to fit the Toyota Landcruiser 5-door wagon in both the VDJ76 4.5L V8 and the GDJ76 2.8L.
The rear muffler is the last silencing stage before the tailpipe, and the SSMBM302MF is a chambered unit that quietens by absorption and reflection at the back of the wagon. At 3in it's the larger pipe size, suited to keeping flow up on the turbo-diesel Landcruiser through the rear of the system. It carries the final note for the car rather than tuning a single frequency the way a centre resonator does.
It's listed to fit the Toyota Landcruiser 5-door wagon in two engines: the VDJ76 4.5L V8 and the GDJ76 2.8L. Covering both means it's shaped to hang and exit on the 76-series wagon body regardless of which of those motors is fitted. Confirm your exact VDJ76 or GDJ76 build with the workshop before ordering.
A rear muffler is a silencing component, not a catalytic converter, DPF or sensor, so it leaves the Landcruiser's factory emissions hardware in place. It changes the note, not what the wagon emits. Confirm any state requirements with the workshop.
Oak Flats Muffler Men fits Landcruiser rear mufflers in-house across the Illawarra. On the 76-series wagon we check the 3in body clears the rear suspension and the hanger carries it cleanly. Send your VDJ76 or GDJ76 build and we'll confirm fitment and book the bay.
