Ford Falcon BA BF FG XR8 XR6 Turbo & Pursuit Ute 2 1/2in Dual Rear Muffler (SKU: SSMBM348MF) Engineered for a wide.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The MPI Automotive SSMBM348MF is the dual rear muffler for the BA/BF/FG Falcon XR8, XR6 Turbo and Pursuit ute — the back-of-system silencer in the twin-pipe layout, sized at a 2in bore. As the rear muffler it has the final say in the ute's tailpipe note.
On the performance Falcon ute's twin-pipe system, the SSMBM348MF is the last muffler before the tips, so it shapes the note you hear from outside more than any earlier section. At a 2in bore it carries each side of the dual run to the back of the ute, doing its quietening at the tailpipe end.
A dual exhaust uses both a centre and a rear silencer; this is the rear pair. Replacing it lets you renew a rusted or split back section, or refresh the sound, without disturbing the mid-system. As a chambered muffler it leans toward a controlled note rather than an open straight-through bark.
It's listed to fit the BA/BF/FG Ford Falcon XR8, XR6 Turbo and Pursuit ute. With several generations covered, confirm your exact model, dual layout and existing pipe size with the workshop before ordering — the ute's rear routing differs from the sedan's.
