MPI Automotive Ford Mustang V8 2 1/2In Dual H-Pipe Balance Tube, Centre Muffler Replacement Without Muffler.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

Built around an H-pipe balance tube, the SSMBM640-H-WOM is a dual centre for the Mustang V8 with no muffler in the middle — the open H-pipe version that keeps the classic, traditional V8 character. It is listed to fit the Ford Mustang V8, with a 2in muffler bore.
An H-pipe joins the two banks of the V8 with a short balance tube at the centre, equalising pressure between sides while keeping each pipe more separate than an X-pipe does. That tends to preserve a more traditional, lopey V8 note. In this WOM version there is no muffler in the centre, so the H-pipe runs open.
With the centre muffler deleted, the H-pipe's balance-tube character comes through unquietened — the loudest of the H-pipe centre choices and the one that holds the classic V8 voice. The 2in muffler bore is the published figure for the part. It is the centre section only, not the full system.
It is listed to fit the Ford Mustang V8; confirm your exact build with the workshop before ordering. If you want the note smoothed and evened instead, the X-pipe centre suits that; the H-pipe keeps the banks more distinct. We verify fitment against your car first.
