MPI Automotive Ford FG V8 Ute 2.5in L & R CatBack Hotdog/Muffler.
Category: Mufflers and resonators

The MPI Automotive SSMKFD0224 is the hotdog-and-muffler L-and-R cat-back for the Ford FG V8 ute, on 2.5in pipe. It combines the split left-and-right routing with a straight-through hotdog, so the ute's dual run flows freely down each side.
The L-and-R run is split left and right down the FG ute chassis, and this version carries a compact straight-through hotdog ahead of the muffler. The hotdog trims drone without choking flow, so each side breathes more freely than a twin-chamber build, while the muffler keeps peak volume managed.
It replaces the exhaust from the catalytic converter rearward in the split L-and-R pipes, keeping the factory cat. This is the rear-half upgrade, so the emissions hardware ahead of the cat is left as Ford built it.
It is listed to fit the Ford FG V8 ute; series and year are not published by the supplier. Because ute clearances vary with trays and tow gear, we treat the listing as a guide rather than a guarantee and confirm the L-and-R routing against your actual ute before ordering the part in.
Oak Flats Muffler Men supplies and fits this MPI Automotive cat-back across the Illawarra, checking both sides of the split run and the hotdog and muffler clearances, plus the hanger positions, before booking the bay. As a cat-back it keeps the factory cat in place. RRP is $3,052.28; as an MPI Automotive part it is ordered in for your ute.
